Loan Application Checklist

In order to get your loan approved as soon as possible, we obviously will need additional information from you. The quicker you can gather the information below, the better off you will be.

We have tried to provide you with a complete itemization of the documents that an underwriter will need to approve your loan. An underwriter is actually the individual who will grant your full loan approval. Once we have that, your loan will be ready to go to settlement.

Please provide copies of the following. We do not need originals except as indicated below. Each borrower who is on the loan request must provide this information.

- W-2 statements for the last 2 years from all employers.

- Paystubs. The most recent 30 day period.

- Last 2 years "signed" personal tax return. Federal only. This is also sometimes called your 1040's. (3 years are required if applying for a VHDA loan program. Please call if you are not sure.)

- Bank Statements (Checking and Savings) for the last 2 months. We must have all pages. If your statement has 5 pages..then we need all 5. If 3, then 3. You get the picture. Sometimes the numbered pages in your statement are even blank. Guess what... we need that also.

- Mutual Funds, 401-k, Stock Statements. The last 2 months and guess what? All pages as described above.

What we are trying to do by requesting the above is document the monies needed for your downpayment, closing costs, and pre-paids, along with reserve amounts. A reserve amount is what you have left over after your purchase of refinance. Hope this helps!

- If you are currently a renter, or have rented during the last two year period, then we will need the name of your landlord/management company, and how to contact them. This would mean complete address for them and also telephone and fax number.

- If you have worked for more than one employer during the last 2 years, then we will need the name and address for that employer and also the contact numbers for them.

- If you are divorced, then we will need a copy of you final decree.

- If you have filed for bankruptcy, then we will need a copy of you bankruptcy and also the discharge of same. We will also need an explanation of why you filed the bankruptcy.

- For all V.A. (Veterans Administration) loan requests, we will need a copy of your DD-214(member copy 4 if discharged) ,a Statement of Service (if active), and the ORIGINAL of you COE.(Certificate of Elgibility)

- Copy of your drivers license and social security card.
