Neighborhood Lender of the Year

What the heck does that mean?

I had the honor of being voted by my colleagues in the real estate industry and by my past customers the "Lender of the Year" award. This award was presented to me by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association of Richmond.

But what does it mean?

Most people think that it is an award given for dollar volume or total number of mortgage loans completed. Some think that it is an award given to the mortgage lender who is the most visible, who does the most advertising, who contributes the most money to the association, or who sponsors the most events.

Well, I am here to tell you why I received the award.

It's about my commitment to you.... the one who is actually borrowing the money. The huge responsibility that you are getting ready to undertake. It's about your family...not mine. It's about your comfort zone regarding your financial situation. It's about the loan choice. It's about the correct loan for you... the safe loan for you.

It's about follow through. It's about doing it the right way. It's about my honoring what I say I am going to do. It's about delivery. It's about under promising and over delivering. It's about you..... period.

I do not take "loan applications for practice." When you make the decision to apply for a loan with me, I promise you it will close and it will close on time. In my 15 year career directly related to mortgage loan applications, I have originated over 1000 loans. Of those, I have a "loan closing on time percentage" of 99.4 %. Further, of all the loan applications I have taken...... all of them have closed with the exception of 6. This is a fact that I am extremely proud of.
